So, new art auctions are as follows: I have listed the original painting "Inkling 4- Summer Night" with a $9.99 starting bid (on eBay). This is an original dragon and fairy fantasy painting, measuring 5" x 7" in acrylics on a sheet of artist canvas. It was originally listed for $32 in my darklingemily etsy shop, so...now would be a wonderful time to try to get this piece for a lot less! Since it has been chilly here of late, with autumn hiding right behind the trees (I SEE YOU!) I've been feeling rather raven-esque...and, in pondering why a raven is like a writing desk, I thought it would be fitting to make up some stationery using my raven paintings. Now, for some really exciting news! (well, it's exciting to me, anyway!) I am very pleased to announce that my "Little Book of Zombie Limericks" is now a real, live book! It has it's own ISBN number and everything! Also, this is the compilation book, so there are over 75 zombie limericks, over 60 illustrations, and a full color paperback cover, featuring my "Procession to Breakfast" painting! I am soooooo psyched! YAY!! I am still working on my Red Velvet Cake pin up jester. She is nearly complete, and I may just finish her up tonight after I get all my computer work done...Though, I do have a few new work in progress pictures up in my Facebook album HERE if you are curious ;) She's very pretty! And I think the next jester will be a candy apple themed piece...I just absolutely love apples. Delish.
n other news, I've been having numerous creative epiphanies...It's all I can do to get them written down until I have the time to sort through them, edit, decide whether or not they are worthy of my time, and get them moving...A lot of them are rather involved projects, and since I am already working on one of those, the others will have to just live in my journals until I can get to them. Such is the paradox of being an artist...When you have the time, often the ideas are fleeting. When you have no time, they tumble down on you like there are a bunch of angry squirrels shaking the acorns out of the trees.
This is why I wrote everything down now ;) So, even if there is not any perceptible inspiration, I still have plenty of ideas... Here are a few things that are brewing in my brain:
- stationery sets
- hardcover journals and day planners featuring my art
- another FB giveaway
- a vehicle for my circus & side show series...short stories? I dunno...
So, yes, though I have been quiet online lately, I am still my crazy self, cooking up silly ideas, and tossing them in the air to see if they can fly or not...What, oh what, will come next?

Whew...
So, I have been up to my eyeballs busy this week- lots of custom pieces and weird last minute sewing projects, meetings, and a little spring cleaning and gardening here and there; I am pretty much worn out!
But, I do have some new pieces to share! The first is another little fiber art book, very similar to the bluebird book, but with rabbits! I like the color scheme in this one- grey and white rabbits, and red, black, and white accents. There are four original mini rabbit paintings, each 2" square, sewn into the raw canvas pages. The inside covers are playing cards (diamonds and spades) and there is a hand painted rabbit patch on the front cover.
