Well, I hope you are ready for a naked lady, because I have one! :D Also, Ive been cleaning my studio out a bit, so I have some supply goodies parceled out, and print sets of some of my older works!

NOW- I know I have been saying for awhile now that I was going to destash some of my supplies...well, I *finally* started! I went through my entire paper collection (and believe me, it was no easy feat, took me most of a day!) and I have put together a bunch of paper packs. These are great for random crafting, scrapbooking, bookmaking, just fooling around...There are also embellishments, tags, and assorted stickers and such, plus a small sheet of craft suggestions and two mixed media art prints for inspiration! In sorting through my studio things, I've discovered a lot more things that I could get rid of, so...be prepared for more destashing! Also, I am coming up on my 400 "likes" on my FB page, so I have been pondering a giveaway...Also been needing to update my website, but it needs to be streamlined, too, and every time I update it I just get pissy...it's turning into a giant monster. :\ Pain in the butt, but worth it. So there's that. I also have some new goodies coming in, to mail out with your orders! Yayfun! Other than that, there are some illustrations in the works, and I'm sure some crazy whim I will drop everything and follow, even knowing I should be focusing on other things...Stupid epiphany projects, all comin' outta nowhere, messing up my schedule...:)

I swear, every week I get a little further from reality, though it does seem to be helping my creative flow...
I have a brand new robot pin up painting to share, along with a new ACEO original, and some other goodies!
I am so pleased with how "Recalibrate" turned out! She is my latest painting (8" x 10" acrylic on canvas panel)...Feeling like a machine and feeling the need to balance my input/output levels has been a recent recurring theme in my life, so...I had to paint a sexy robot, of course! The original color scheme for this piece was going to be red-black-white-gold...but something told me to go with a softer color. Glad I listened! I have new art, that's what! (Shocking, I know! phhh) A few original pieces, lots of auctions on ebay, new Zazzle items with some recent art of mine, some humor, some rambling...

ZAZZLE TIME! I feel like I should do jazz hands when I say that. Just picture me doing that, okay? Awesome. I just got an email today informing me that my shop has apparently reached "pro seller" status on Zazzle! Woo Hoo! In other randomness, I've been trying to get a comic drawn up at least once a week (admittedly, I've been slacking on getting them FINISHED, but they are being penciled up regularly)...Anyhoo, these are just humorous and mostly stupid vignettes of moments in my life. Most of them happen for realz, some of them are just reactions that I have in my head. I work in a kitchen, so...they lean toward the perverse a lot of the time. If this is something that offends you...what the crap are you doing reading my blog? And, don't follow this link...unless you want to laugh a little:

Okay...go pee, grab a snack and get situated, cuz I'm gonna ramble at you for a minute! LOL! Firstly, I want to thank each and every one of you who have supported my art over the years. It is just...so...wonderful to be able to share these little worlds, stories, and pictures, and have them be received by open eyes and open hearts. Even all you critics, I love you too. All of you have helped me to become a better artist, and in turn, a better person, every day. There's no way I can ever truly express my gratitude. But I will always try. :) *ahem* sorry to get all mushy on ya...Full moon in Cancer (I think) coming up, and I am feelin it...Ugh!
Anyhoo, how about some shallow rambling? Ha ha, okay- so, remember last week when I was hemming and hawing about painting a mermaid on that long, thin canvas? Well, that's not happening at the moment. I flew off on another weird tangent, and am now working on a few new ladies (and some dudes!). I have a nude robot sketched out, and had her all ready to get onto canvas. Then I got another idea, and ANOTHER IDEA, and ANOTHER ONE...so...things are pretty much a carnival over here, working 3-4 pieces in the physical realm and about 4 more in my brain. I don't know what is wrong with me, making so much dang work for myself. On top of that, I seem to be in kind of a 'summer' mood, so I've been out and about more often, and not in the studio WORKING LIKE I SHOULD BE! Things are still getting accomplished, though not at the pace that I prefer to keep. But...all work and no play...you know? Not that I don't LOVE to paint, but...I've been told I'm only human, so that's what I'm rollin' with for now ;)

I have no idea what I am working on next...other than a few commission pieces. I have this long, thin canvas, it is 8" x 24" I believe...and I was thinking about painting a mermaid on it. I really would love to do a large color version of my old "Tailored Scales" pen and ink illustration...This is the one I am talking about:
...but I need to come up with a background idea and a color scheme. And part of me is a little bit jaded over the idea of just a plain old mermaid...so I might have to weird her out a little more...Hmmm...off to ponder on this and other lady creatures, I'm sure.
