Dremon dragon lady demon painting

Oh, weekend...

I finished up the really fun painting today! I am in love with her! She's a nude dragon-vixen, with piles of skulls and an eerie yellow-orange glow behind her...I've titled her "Dremon 1", as I feel this is the beginning of a series...Right, just what i need is more series(es?) heh heh! "Dremon 1" is listed in my darklingemily etsy shop, with free shipping, and lots of detail photos. To see her, and take her home with you (if you dare), please click on the link below the picture:

I've also listed another Zombie Ink Blot (#3) in my zombietoes etsy shop- and there are more to follow in the next week! To see the latest, please follow the link below the picture:

So, not a lot of new art tonight. I'm in the process of drawing out some flipbooks, which is going to take forever and is quite tedious, but sooo worth it! The one I am currently working on is a zombie flipbook, but I have a TON of silly little ideas floating around in my head, and would love to get them all out (eventually, if my focus allows). I also got some work done on one of my graphic novel ideas today, so thank goodness for that! I feel mostly productive, even with sleeping in until 10 am like a bum with no job heh heh! Whatever, it's Saturday, right? Right.

Anyway, enough pointless rambling, I have 40 tiny illustrations to ink in, and then...Probably bedtime. Hopefully bedtime. But...we shall see.

xo!

Mervamp Original Painting auction + Zombie Ink Blots

Yoy!

I am afraid that my focus is not what it should be lately. I am all over the place! Too many ideas to be able to finish one with patience, without going off on some random tangent...Sometimes I wish I was not my own boss. I could really use someone around once in awhile to yell at me to get back on track. Heh heh!
But I will just have to manage on my own for now. EEE!! "Someone left Emily to her own devices...everyone watch out!"

Anyhoo...I am here to inform you all that this blog post is about dark arts, so if you are here for "pretty" or "cute", you are S.O.L. this round, sorry! :P First, I have put up my ORIGINAL "Mervamp" painting for auction on eBay- yes, my beloved blood sucking mermaid vampire is up for a 10 day auction, starting at just $35, with free shipping! She is an original 12" x 9" acrylic painting on gallery wrapped canvas, and I am hoping that she finds just the right home where she will be loved and cherished despite her evil tendancies.
To see the auction listing, and perhaps even make a bid, please follow the link below her picture:

I also have an assortment of dragon ACEOs listed, each starting at just $5, most are prints, some are originals...You can view all of my eBay listings at this link:

This next batch of art is something very exciting to me, though I am not sure why, as they came from a fairly simple idea...I just really love them! They are my latest addition to my zombietoes etsy shop...Zombie ink blots! I've gone and taken the Rorschach psychology test and twisted it up a bit in my Zombie-obsessed brain; there are multiple ink blots to be seen and had! These are prints, and open edition at that, but they are somewhat subtle as far as zombie artwork goes...At first glance, they just look like, well, ink blots! I've used a bunch of silhouette zombies from my assorted illustrations/paintings, and added in a few new ones...

So, that's about it...I am in the midst of a really fun painting, so...I'll be off now to get her finished!

Angry Dragon Paintings + Mango Jester pin up art

Well, well...

I have two angry dragons and a jester to show you tonight! woo woo! So I suppose I will just go ahead and do that...:)

First, I've put up this original ACEO painting on eBay- auction starts at just $5, with free shipping! His name is "Shrieker" and he ain't no nice guy LOL! I like this one, it's got a rather hardcore feel to it...Look at him up there in the angry sky, screaming and screaming...
Anyhoo...He is up for auction tonight, and you can view the listing, and perhaps make a bid, at the link below the picture:

Next, the other angry dragon (can you tell I was a bit crabby?) This one is at least a little less mean- "Along the Watchtower" is an original 7" x 5" acrylic painting, featuring a glowering little orange dragon looking out from a watchtower ledge...You may visit him in my darklingemily etsy shop to read the blurb I wrote for him, and maybe take him home with you...I promise he'll behave himself!

Last piece of art for the night-"Mangolomaniac" is my latest jester pin up, and she is just beautiful! She's dressed in a somewhat royal-feeling blue and gold suit, with yellow-green eyes to match the mangoes in the picture...Mangoes are my favorite fruit, and aside from chocolate, my favorite food! Like a little piece of heaven...I know it's dorky, but...I am a bit obsessed with them, hence the title of this piece! She is not yet listed on my website or in my etsy shop, though I will have prints of her available shortly. In the meantime, if you would like a limited edition art print of her (8" x 10" $16.00, free shipping) please feel free to email me and I will get one to you!
and here she is:

So, that's all for art tonight :) I know I have not been all that entertaining lately, I have been seriously hibernating and thinking up new awesomeness to bring out of my head...I went to take a short nap today (something I very rarely do, but it was raining and grey) and instead of resting, my mind came up with a bunch of ideas that I am pretty psyched about...So, I will be staying up late to A) watch wrestling and B) get some of these new ideas written and sketched out in my book...:D And...off I go!

Dusk dragon painting + Out of the blue dragon + angel painting

I just spent a long time plotting out my schedule for the next few months...If I don't write it down, I tend to get lazy...so, now my life revolves around what my dayplanner says...Pathetic, I know. But at least I am using the dern planner...LOL!

Anyhoo, I have some brand new paintings to show you all tonight! Finally! This first one is "Dusk"- a dusty yellow dragon perched in the trees at sundown...I really like how it turned out :) He is an original 10" x 8" acrylic painting (on a canvas panel) and he is currently being housed in my darklingemily etsy shop...Free shipping on this bad boy! Yay! To read his little blurb, see detail pictures, and perhaps even adopt him into your home, please follow the link below the photo:

Also brand new from me is this smaller fantasy painting- this one is titled "Out of the Blue" because that's pretty much where it came from (as with most of my art hee hee!). This is a smaller piece, at 5" x 7", and features a light blue speckled dragon that this cute-but-shadowy angel girl has conjured up...I wish I could just conjure up dragons out of nowhere, for realsies, but I will have to settle for just painting them, I suppose :)
This new painting is up for auction on eBay tonight, starting at a stupid-low bid of $15, with free shipping, too! To see the details and read the little story, please follow the link below the picture:

"Out of the Blue" Original Angel and Dragon big eye art

What's with all the blue, you say? Well, I have been feeling kinda blah the last two weeks, so I guess it shows in my color choice LOL! It's a good thing painting makes me feel better, or I would be up shit's creek right about now. I know things will get better, because I just have to have faith in that, but...damn, sometimes I get really impatient. It's hard work lifting one's own spirits sometimes. Once they are up, though, they usually *stay* up, but that has not been the case as of late. I suppose in my impatience, I have cultivated a bit of frustration, making me just a little bit bratty...
Of course, being an "artist", I am pulled into filtering through these strange and unweildy things called "emotions" through my creations...So, needless to say, I have been working on a lot of zombie-related items in the background. Some of which will be part of a larger project...That, of course, does not help with the impatience factor, but...Zombies always make me smile. I honestly don't know what I would do without them! And speaking of...I'd better get back to them, or they might come alive and end all my emo B.S. by turning me into one of them...but hey, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em...right?

xo!
