Of course, I worked all weekend, as usual, but I still managed to pull some art out of the air ;) I have some fancy-schmancy iPhone cases, two new ACEOs, and news about my latest Facebook GIVEAWAY! Plus some other goodies ;)

Good evening all!
So...I pretty much did eff-all this week. Okay, that is not true, but as far as art goes, I didn't make a whole heck of a lot. Been getting the gardens ready for winter, potting plants for indoors, working, filling orders, and trying not to fall asleep too early...Most nights I don't succeed at that last one.
I had a blast at the zombie pub crawl :) Got wasted and met a lot of zombies! I will have some pictures soon(ish) to share...But, seriously, this is why I don't go out all that often- because I have waaay too much fun, then it takes me two days or so to get back all my energy and bearings. So...I don't think I will be going out for Halloween. I will be working and then working some more.
I do have a few new pieces to share tonight- new ACEOs! The first is another Circus & Side Show piece- yes, they are still going strong! Set of TWO mixed media fairy ACEOs
So, details are at the above link, but just for funzies, let me try to sell you...;) I had a short spell of mixed media madness last week, and made a few fantasy collage ACEOs. This is a set of TWO original fairy ACEOs, in my signature mixed media style...something I have not done in awhile! I do not foresee making a ton of these little treasures this year, so if you have wanted one, now is a good time! I used to make these all the time, but at this juncture in my "art life" I am trying out other things. But...lots of texture, color, depth, and detail in these tiny worlds! I promise, if you like fantasy art at all, these will not disappoint you. :)

Well, I have been busy this week! I just wrote out my "to do" list, and it's quite long...Hopefully I will have time to whittle it down! But enough of "what shall be" and on to "what is"...

I've just completed a commission piece (for more information about how to commission me, just click HERE), and also have been working on some random art the past few days- none of them are really part of a series or project, they are just stand alone pieces. It's been awhile since I've done this, and I find myself to be a little bit lost...but because I have no parameters at all, it allows me to "just do" and see what happens...ah, how quaint and ideal. Heh heh heh. It's nice, though, to just 'make' to make. Right now, I'm gonna go make some cookies and then more art!

I am soooooo psyched! YAY!! I am still working on my Red Velvet Cake pin up jester. She is nearly complete, and I may just finish her up tonight after I get all my computer work done...Though, I do have a few new work in progress pictures up in my Facebook album HERE if you are curious ;) She's very pretty! And I think the next jester will be a candy apple themed piece...I just absolutely love apples. Delish.
n other news, I've been having numerous creative epiphanies...It's all I can do to get them written down until I have the time to sort through them, edit, decide whether or not they are worthy of my time, and get them moving...A lot of them are rather involved projects, and since I am already working on one of those, the others will have to just live in my journals until I can get to them. Such is the paradox of being an artist...When you have the time, often the ideas are fleeting. When you have no time, they tumble down on you like there are a bunch of angry squirrels shaking the acorns out of the trees.
This is why I wrote everything down now ;) So, even if there is not any perceptible inspiration, I still have plenty of ideas... Here are a few things that are brewing in my brain:
- stationery sets
- hardcover journals and day planners featuring my art
- another FB giveaway
- a vehicle for my circus & side show series...short stories? I dunno...
So, yes, though I have been quiet online lately, I am still my crazy self, cooking up silly ideas, and tossing them in the air to see if they can fly or not...What, oh what, will come next?

Once I have okay-ed it, I will be making it available to the public...So, hopefully very soon now! It is essentially all three volumes of my zombie limericks (you know, the ones available through my etsy shop here...), plus a sh*tload of new limericks and illustrations! Dudes, it's like 80 pages hahaha! I'm so psyched. :D
I spent all afternoon painting, it is so nice to have time for that LOL! Aside from the new jester piece, I am working on my ACEO series of women with dragons...which I really should get back to about now :)

Whew! Busy week! Not a lot of time for art, sadly, but I seem to be making great progress on some of my other projects! And, as always, I have no respite from the influx of new ideas...
So, I do have a few new things to share- two new mermaid ACEO originals up for auction (plus a whole bunch of ACEO prints), and a zombie poster featuring 9 of my zombie ink blots!
Yes, New art!!! Both mermaids! The first is a little girl I like to call "Dark Waves"- she is a very sultry brunette siren, watching the sunset over crashing waves. I really love the colors in this ACEO! Now...zombie time! So, yes, I've been at my real job pretty much all week. I am very very glad to have a job. However, I am beginning to resent ALL THE HOURS I SPEND THERE. I love my crew. I hate pizza. I hate the mall. I hate not having time/energy to do all the things I want to when I get home. I wish I could just cut sleep out of my schedule entirely; that would solve a bunch of my troubles. Except, of course, for being tired all the time.

I know, I just went a whole week without posting a blog. :\ Truth is, there really wan't much to write about...until now! LOL!
I have some new ACEO auctions listed on eBay (of course!) and also a special treat for all you comic lovers! But first, I will start with the ACEOs...
Continuing my Circus & Side Show series with "Carousel Horse"- an original ACEO illustration (2.5" x 3.5"- acrylic and inks)- the carousel is my favorite ride. I know it's not the most exciting thing, but it's the decadence of the carousel that I love more than the motion of it. Now that you have patiently waited for me to run down my list of new art, I will share with you something funny! Occasionally, I will get the urge to draw up a comic strip (or in this case, a block) of things I find funny...These comics are probably not universally funny, but they help me deal with the idiocy I encounter in daily life. Lately, the idiocy has been rampant, so I may be doing a bunch more of these...They are not the best art in the world, just quick little sketches, but I try to get the body language as close to reality as I can...It's great therapy for me, and reminds me how important having a good sense of humor is, and also that I am not a one trick pony. So, with all that being said, I give to you...a comic:
Any questions, input, comments are welcome. I would like to expand on this comic idea, and perhaps if I get enough of them drawn up, I will put them in a hand bound book for posterity (and also for listing in one of my etsy shops, which are sorely neglected of late)...
