Well, I have been busy this week! I just wrote out my "to do" list, and it's quite long...Hopefully I will have time to whittle it down! But enough of "what shall be" and on to "what is"...


I have some brand new ACEO auctions up on eBay- some originals, and a handful of 99 cent prints! The first original is another addition to my Dragon + Nymph series: "Burnt Orange" features a nymph laden in peacock-flavored attire, and a burnt orange dragon on her shoulder! Also new this week is an original fantasy ACEO- "Siren of the Seafoam" is a beautiful yellow mermaid, lounging in a patch of coral and sea shells! Lots of details in this piece! And, one more mermaid piece, which some of you may remember- "Freshwater Mermaid" is an original 5" x 7" mixed media illustration (in inks, acrylics, and colored pencil)...She was originally listed in my darklingemily etsy shop for $32, but now she is up on eBay (for auction) starting at only $9.99! I've just completed a commission piece (for more information about how to commission me, just click HERE), and also have been working on some random art the past few days- none of them are really part of a series or project, they are just stand alone pieces. It's been awhile since I've done this, and I find myself to be a little bit lost...but because I have no parameters at all, it allows me to "just do" and see what happens...ah, how quaint and ideal. Heh heh heh. It's nice, though, to just 'make' to make. Right now, I'm gonna go make some cookies and then more art!

Hot Air Balloons ACEO, Fiji Mermaid circus art, + Art Giveaway reminder!

Well, it has been a slow week, at least art wise, but I have been making pizzas up the wazoo...Ugh, the thought of greasy cheese in this heat makes me a little sick LOL!! At any rate, I do have two new ACEOs to share with you, and a reminder about my Facebook exclusive art giveaway contest...


So...new ACEOs! Yay! The first is a fantasy illustration- "Hot Air" is an original ACEO (2.5" x 3.5") featuring a lovely blond nymph girl, enjoying the rather whimsical skyscape of multicolored hot air balloons. The other new ACEo is the latest in my Circus & Sideshow series- the "Fiji Mermaid"! This is no regular mermaid art- it's a bit on the creepy side, but I wanted to keep with the vintage circus feel, so...yeah. :) There is a bit of history + info about the Fiji Mermaid in the auction listing- this ACEO is listed at a $5 starting bid. I have finished up my latest jester- she is Ice Cream themed- though I have yet to scan her in and get prints posted for sale. I will try my very best to get her up ASAP! She's very cute- a black haired harlequin, dreaming of ice cream cones :) Now I am pondering my next jester, and also the next addition to my Dragon Zodiac series (thinking about Taurus)...Also, working on getting more zombie limericks written for the compilation book...I wrote 18 of them last week, and thought with the other 27 plus illustrations that would be sufficient. However, I have since chosen to put a whole bunch more into the compilation book, so...Looks like I have my work cut out for me! Even though they are just silly little rhymes, it is actually rather difficult to make them work just right, and also make them funny (which, in my mind, is the cornerstone of any good limerick). At this point, I am afraid that I will run out of ideas. :( So...I might have to restock my Netflix list with LOTS and LOTS of "research material" aka zombie movies LOL!!
