Greetings from Emily-Land!
Well...Firstly, I am in an area that may or may not be hit by Hurricane Irene, so...it is very possible I could lose power for a few days, in which case...I will not be online. Just a warning. At this point I am brainstorming things to do when the power goes out...as i like to be as productive as possible, regardless of the situation! BUT! For now, I have THREE new original paintings to share!
Onto art! First up, I have two brand new, adorable, ORIGINAL dragon ACEO paintings up for auction on eBay! The first is titled "Spectrum"- a wide-eyed, white dragon is giving off all the colors in the spectrum! The other new ACEO is a little bit autumn-esque/Halloween-y! This one is titled "My Pumpkin"- this wee dragon has found the most beautiful pumpkin in the whole patch! Now...one more eBay art auction- "Tea Time" is a new set of my 2" square portrait paintings! This set features two pretty, but slightly creepy girls, telling you to come and have tea with them! I must admit, I am a bit discombobulated, as I have some larger projects on my plate, and a mess of a studio, a mess of a schedule, a mess of a life...Everything will all be sorted through and put back in its place soon, and things will return to the usual half-crazed instead of full-crazed! Hi all!
Sorry, I know it's just been one day longer than usual, but I feel like I've lived three weeks in one...Sadly, one of my kitties has left this world, and so I am dealing with that loss, trying to take a little extra time out of my schedule to just...be. :( But...on a happier note, I do have some new art to share, a new comic strip, and some fun stuff on Zazzle!
Now, the new paintings: "Storm Cloud City"- a little 6" x 4" sky scene- a (tastefully) nude angel sitting on a storm cloud, with a floating sky castle in the distance. I really like how this piece turned out, and am rather impressed with all the details I could get into such a small space. I have a brand new dragon painting to share (he's a little bit creepy!) plus "Rabbit Ears Addendum" on T shirts, a very special etsy treasury, and some random odds and ends...
Firstly, the dragons have returned to my studio, after a brief departure to lands unknown and unspoken of...They have sent only a few of their kind back, but these few dragons *insist* upon Halloween related art in their favor. Being dragons, I shall not deny them their every whim, so...here is one:

It just so happens that I have a new set of mini portrait paintings to share, as well as a new ACEO original, and a few bookmarks!
So, this new portrait set features *two* little acrylic paintings- each one is 2" square on canvas. This set is two pretty fairies, one blue, one purple, with swirly white hair and sweet smiles! I call this set "Night Fae"- it is all framed and matted up, ready to be displayed! New bookmarks have been listed in my darklingemily etsy shop! New images, including my raven painting "The Locket", and my illustration "Compass Angel", plus lots more, and they are each just $3! Maybe you have a Kindle or some other newfangled reading contraption, and I say 'good for you'! I, on the other hand, am rather old fashioned when it comes to certain things, books being near the top of that list. I need them to be made of paper and to be books. So, I still find bookmarks to be a feasible item to produce. I can at least use them myself hah hah! Anyhoo...you can view all of them in my etsy shop HERE!

Things got all crazy, so I have been a bit quiet on the social networking front lately (sorries to all). I picked up an extra half shift at the day job, effectively leaving me with approximately 2.5 entire studio days, if I don't sleep. ;) So, I've been busting butt. I do have a few new pieces to share, and I am working on getting a small stockpile to list at my leisure...SO hopefully you won't even notice I am missing!
The first new piece is actually a set of two! "Hello Phone" features two little portraits (each painting is 2" square) of cute 50's era style girls. A little flirty, definitely adorable! I love them... I have taken the liberty of matting and framing them together in a 4" x 6" frame...you can see all the pictures, read all about them, and even place a bid at the link below the picture ($15 starting bid)

I will have more sets of mini portraits in the near future- they have stemmed from the studio cleaning that has been going on over here...painted on scraps of primed artist canvas that were trimmings from other paintings. I hate to waste, and I can paint small, so...there you have it folks.

He's kind of scary, though...I guess I'll just start with him :) "Ooh, a piece of Candy!" is me trying to lighten up this guy just a tad...he seemed so upset, and I figured...maybe a piece of candy would ease his malcontent a bit...but no...Anyhow, he is an ORIGINAL ACEO (2.5" x 3.5" acrylics and ink on bristol)...He is listed for auction on eBay ($5 starting bid) and all the info is at the link below:

One last thingy, here...I have put up a few new print sets in my darklingemily etsy shop! Sets are 5 assorted 4" x 6" prints of my fantasy art- older pieces mostly- for $10 per set. I am still sorting through all sorts of goodies in my studio- I am going through all my shiny metal stashes currently, and once I get those all sorted, packaged, and listed, I will get on to sorting through my fiber stash...But I'm keeping ALL of my ribbons!
