Not for me, though, I gotta work. BUT! I do have lots of good stuff tonight! Some brand new ACEO originals (and prints, of course), a brand new Facebook Exclusive Auction, and...a zombietoes birthday sale!
I suppose I will begin, as I always seem to do, with the new ACEOs! The first is a new fantasy illustration- "Flamingo Lagoon" is a tiny visual narrative of a frustrating moment in the life of this pink flamingo- a mermaid has taken his favorite spot! Oh noooez! The other new original ACEO is the latest in my Circus & Side Show series- "The Ringmaster"- yes, a dude! For those of you who are familiar with my art, you know that I do not often draw men (at least human-esque men; most of my dragons happen to be male). I really love this piece, and did consider keeping it for my personal collection. But then I thought "I can just make myself a print", so...lucky you guys! LOL!! At any rate, this original ACEO illustration is also up for auction on eBay, with a starting bid of $5. Set of TWO mixed media fairy ACEOs
So, details are at the above link, but just for funzies, let me try to sell you...;) I had a short spell of mixed media madness last week, and made a few fantasy collage ACEOs. This is a set of TWO original fairy ACEOs, in my signature mixed media style...something I have not done in awhile! I do not foresee making a ton of these little treasures this year, so if you have wanted one, now is a good time! I used to make these all the time, but at this juncture in my "art life" I am trying out other things. But...lots of texture, color, depth, and detail in these tiny worlds! I promise, if you like fantasy art at all, these will not disappoint you. :)
And...before I go back to my desk to finish my latest painting (to see work in progress pics of it, just click HERE, and scroll down to the bottom of the page for the newest!)...The two year anniversary of my zombietoes etsy shop is next month/aka tomorrow/aka October, and I am planning a shop-wide sale to celebrate! All zombies, monsters, Ralphies, and Cartoon Aquarium art will be on sale! I am not fully sure what the sale will be exactly, but I will be sure to let you know what it is and when it's up and running...Certainly within the next couple of days! YAY HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZOMBIETOES! The terrible twos, ah lovely...

So...I am a little bit sleepy today, because I had a bit of a coffee fiasco this morning...Looking back, I'm glad that I was able, at least, to fend off a caffeine headache, but I did have to take a short afternoon nap!
I have (surpise surprise) some new art this evening! Well, there is one new piece, and two older pieces ;)
The first piece, the brand new one, is "Dragon and Raven"- an original acrylic painting (6" x 4") on a canvas panel. I *love* the colors in this piece!! A dark purple dragon, with big, wide eyes, and feathery black wings, stares at a raven who has perched on his tail. So...other than the coffee incident, it was a pretty uneventful day. Went to the grocery store (woo hoo) and when I got home, I had a slew of ideas running around in my head, so I got most of those sketched out...Tomorrow, I am dog sitting and weeding gardens all afternoon, but I do have plans to get the remainder of my zodiac dragons sketched out, and then hopefully get one started for real- at the moment, I am leaning towards Gemini, as that one is already fleshed out in my journal.

I am afraid that my focus is not what it should be lately. I am all over the place! Too many ideas to be able to finish one with patience, without going off on some random tangent...Sometimes I wish I was not my own boss. I could really use someone around once in awhile to yell at me to get back on track. Heh heh!
But I will just have to manage on my own for now. EEE!! "Someone left Emily to her own devices...everyone watch out!"
Anyhoo...I am here to inform you all that this blog post is about dark arts, so if you are here for "pretty" or "cute", you are S.O.L. this round, sorry! :P First, I have put up my ORIGINAL "Mervamp" painting for auction on eBay- yes, my beloved blood sucking mermaid vampire is up for a 10 day auction, starting at just $35, with free shipping! She is an original 12" x 9" acrylic painting on gallery wrapped canvas, and I am hoping that she finds just the right home where she will be loved and cherished despite her evil tendancies.

This next batch of art is something very exciting to me, though I am not sure why, as they came from a fairly simple idea...I just really love them! They are my latest addition to my zombietoes etsy shop...Zombie ink blots! I've gone and taken the Rorschach psychology test and twisted it up a bit in my Zombie-obsessed brain; there are multiple ink blots to be seen and had! These are prints, and open edition at that, but they are somewhat subtle as far as zombie artwork goes...At first glance, they just look like, well, ink blots! I've used a bunch of silhouette zombies from my assorted illustrations/paintings, and added in a few new ones...
