Hi hi!
So, making progress on this painting- I think I have decided to call her "Fool's Blood"...at least, that is the working title. Here she is with some color in her skin:
And here with some background colors:
At this point, all the base colors are in there, I just have many more layers and details to get in there...I am hoping to have her finished up by early March. Dang, that is such a long time for me!! Also, again, my apologies for the crumtastic photos :/
Now, onto some other things...
FIRST! I am having a Birthday Sale in my etsy shop- Darkling Treasures etsy shop turns FIVE!! Celebrate with me- here is a 25% off coupon code for you- UROCKROCK - use it at checkout, save monies! (lasts until March 1 at 12am EST)
Click HERE to visit my shop and check out all my goodies and fantasy art!!
A new small painting- "Gossamer(maid) has swum out of my head and onto canvas for you to see! She is a small 7" x 5" piece, in lots of flowing layers of acrylic paint...there are even two jellyfish watching her explore! This piece is a bit more abstract that I usually work, but I like her. She is currently available for adoption via eBay auction- check out the link below her picture for all the info:
Of course, I always have a HANDFUL of art listed for auction on eBay...You can see all the pieces on one page by clicking HERE!
I have been sketching up a small storm of pretty ladies and other random things...Not exactly sure what I am going to do with them all...I was considering some sort of "sketch adoption" which would also be a great way to get a custom Emily piece without me actually having to go full scale commission. Hmmm...hmmm...More thinking is to be done on this subject :)
So...I guess that's about all for now. I'll be back soon, hopefully with a finished painting ;)

Well well, I hope you are doing well!
This is going to be a rather dragon-y post :) I thought I'd give the clowns a short break, though I am sure they will be back very very soon! I have a brand new dragon painting to share, as well as a new Facebook exclusive auction (also dragon-related!)
I know it's not a lot, but I'm trying to keep up with the posting :)
Most of my dragons are friendly creatures, though at times they can cause quite a bit of trouble, as dragons are prone to do. However, I happened to summon this angry little beastie the other day...I know he is not the most, uh, jovial creature, but perhaps you would consider adopting him just the same? This is an original 6" x 4" acrylic painting, titled "Shank". He is up for auction on eBay with a starting bid of just $15! To see the auction listing, and place a bid, please visit the link below the picture:
"Shank" original big eye dragon painting
Now, I also have new Facebook exclusive auction running, until tomorrow night...I know it is short notice, however, it seems there are still no bids on it, so I may extend it a few more days...in the meantime, details: this is a "Raspberry and Cream" color themed auction, featuring a handful of my lovely hand made goodies- a small journal, a pouch, a fabric charm, some paper tags, and an original mixed media dragon piece! Everything matches, it is quite a pretty set of goodies! The bidding starts at $0; more specifics and info on the items and how to place a bid are at the link below the picture (on my Facebook art page):
"Raspberry and Cream" Facebook Exclusive Darkling Treasures Art auction
I will have a lot more to share over the next week, but for now I have to go relax for a bit, I am feeling a little bit drained.

Okay...so...October is being pretty good to me so far, and for that I am thankful! Busy and a little overtired most days, but still, life is good.
Not a TON of art tonight, however most of it is Halloween/monster/zombie themed, so...'tis the season ;} I have a brand new dragon + nymph ACEO (halloween!), a few ghoulish new creations in my zombietoes etsy shop, information about a public appearance (yes! ME! IN PUBLIC! AHHH!!!), and more...read on, my friends, read on...
I will begin with the brand new original ACEO- "Halloween Night" is the latest in my Dragon + Nymph ACEO series...Halloween is upon us, do you have your costume ready? This original 2.5" x 3,5" fantasy illustration is up for auction on eBay, with a starting bid of only $5! To see more details and pictures, and perhaps even place a bid, just click on the link below the picture:

Now...There is a lot of zombie news below, so if you are not a fan of the zombies, I suggest you look away...
Alrighty then...First on the zombie menu, some art (yay)! I have listed some new grossness in my zombietoes etsy shop...A one of a kind, hand sculpted Deathbox, complete with two little zombie magnets inside! This Deathbox is the second one I've ever made. They are pseudo- necronomiconesque, with the stretched faces, real stitching, and subtle painted accents...totally disgusting. I love them! So, this one is available at the link below the picture, and it happens to be half price for my sale this month!
Deathbox with two zombie magnets- on SALE!
The other new piece of zombie art I have listed is an original 8" x 10 painting, titled "Zombie Love". This is in my stark silhouette style, with an abstract background. I painted this piece awhile back, but there was something about it...wasn;t sure what, for the longest time...Now I know what it was. But I'm not telling. Anyway, it's listed now, and it's also half price for my sale....visit the link below for more info and perhaps even to add it to your collection:
"Zombie Love" original silhouette painting
Now, onto other zombie news...I am very happy to announce that "The Little Book of Zombie Limericks" is now available on Amazon.com!! It is the same price as on lulu.com and everywhere else, nothing fancy about it, just another venue for inquiring eyes. You know...At any rate, here's the link:
"The Little Book of Zombie Limericks" on Amazon.com
And should you prefer the lulu link, it is here:
"The Little Book of Zombie Limericks" on lulu.com
And, now, for the finale of zombie news...I will be out and about in zombie get-up this Saturday (10/23) for the Northampton Zombie Pub Crawl!! W00T! I will be laden with free zombie goodies to pass out to the undead masses...If you are interested in going, all the information is on the Facebook Page below the flyer picture:
Northampton Zombie Pub Crawl Facebook Page and Info
I have no idea how long I will be out for, or what time exactly, or if you would even recognize me if you saw me...I have a pretty good idea of what I want my makeup to look like (it's pretty minimal, like a recently turned zombie...some veins and dark eyes, maybe a gash or two...I dunno)...But, yes, if you come out and you find me, I will give you zombie presents!
That's a lot of zombie. Dang. Well, thanks for putting up with all that, and I hope you don't despise me for it. I've got to go have a brownie and get some relaxing done!

Hoo!
I do love my job(s), but, man am I exhausted! It just hit me now...that's what I get for sitting down!
So, I have only one new ACEO tonight, but she's a mermaid, and very pretty, so I hope that makes up for not having more art...But, I also have a sneak peek of my latest painting (Dremon 3), and also a brand new Facebook exclusive auction up!
Allow me to introduce "Indigo"- she is a beautiful bright eyed mermaid, with a seahorse tattoo and some little fish friends! This is an original ACEO illustration (Art Cards, Editions, and Originals- 3.5" x 2.5"). Bidding for this piece starts at just $5 on eBay- to see the listing link with more information, pictures, and where to bid, just visit the link below the picture:

Now, for my latest Facebook Exclusive Auction! This is a special auction, as it is the very last chance to get the original painting of my "Dragon Dreams"! This is a rather detailed acrylic painting on gallery wrapped canvas (14" x 11" x 1")...To read all of the details about the piece, bidding, shipping, and all that goodness, just click the link below the picture:

She's an 8" x 10" acrylic painting on a canvas panel...more to follow in the next few days...

Whoa...
It's been a rather weird day for me...started off in a not-so-good way, then progressed to minor frustrations, exhaustion, and near defeat, then to major incredulity and joy...I have to admit, I am pooped out and it's only 10pm! I still have to eat dinner, and do the dishes. At this point I am asking myself where in the heck my helper monkey is? Oh, right, I never did get around to acquiring one...Dang it!
Anyhoo...let's get down to business, shall we? I've got a brand new jester piece to share, along with another Cartoon Aquarium original auction (partially for charity) and some other fun news, too...
The newest jester is titled "Brain Freeze"- she is a sultry brunette, with dangerous yellow eyes, and a mind for ice cream...Not sure if anyone has noticed, but I have been attempting to overcome my fear of using reds in my art lately...how'd I do with her? There are limited edition art prints of "Brain Freeze" available for sale in my darklingemily etsy shop; the link is below her picture:
"Brain Freeze" jester pin up art prints
I've got another auction up on eBay, with 10% of the final sale price going to the Gulf Restoration Network! "Squee" is one of my original Cartoon Aquarium seahorse paintings- he is sort of ladybug-like, and definitely a strange fellow. An acrylic painting on 8" x 10" gallery wrapped canvas, up for auction starting at $35. To see the listing and maybe even make a bid to adopt him into your home (and at the same time give a little bit of help to the Gulf of Mexico), just follow the link below the picture:

I've also got a couple of ACEO prints up for auction (and more on the way in the next few days), all starting at just 99 cents! To see all my auction listings on one page, just click HERE!
So...I had an OMG moment when I checked my email after a long and slightly horrid day at work :) Awhile back, I had been contacted by someone from a project called the Poet's House Showcase, asking for a set of my "Little Books of Zombie Limericks" to put on display with a TON of other poetry books (all self published, by various artists/authors)...Well, the New York Times wrote a short article on the showcase, and they mentioned my silly little books! I am 100% floored. I cannot even begin to describe it. I might be walking around the whole rest of this week with my mouth agape in astonishment. I may not sleep much. I might laugh for no apparent reason. Freakin' WOW! Normally, I am not one to brag about things, especially one line shout outs, but I feel justified this time, because it's the NEW YORK TIMES!!! Here is a link to the article if you are interested in reading it:
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/09/books/09poets.html?_r=3
Other exciting news- for you all- this Thursday (July 15th), I will be holding another 15% off sale in my darklingemily etsy shop. This is a one day sale ONLY, and all orders are 15% off!! So, come on over and see if there is something special that catches your eye, because it will be on sale Thursday!! Nothing will be visually marked down in my shop, however I will be adjusting invoices to reflect the discount, so please wait until I invoice you to make payments!
Also- my Facebook Exclusive art giveaway drawing ends tomorrow night at midnight (EST)- here is the link to enter if you would like to sneek in at the last minute:
Emily's Art Giveaway Contest (ends Wednesday!!)
Yes. A weird day, indeed. I'm still working on my circus and sideshow series, and loving every minute of it. I do have a confession, though- I have (shamefully) spent a few too many minutes researching dead wrestlers this week, and how they ended up that way...Oh yes, my friends, when two obsessions merge together, things can get crazy, and much time being spent on things that are not art heh heh! *shakes head* I am such a dork. And, this dork really needs some food and some clean dishes, so...I will be off now.

Loads of fun stuff- T shirts, stickers, mugs, stationery, bags, buttons, and more in my Zazzle Shop!
Happy Fourth of July!
I'm gonna make this a quick post, cuz I have a lot of art work waiting for me! But tonight I have some new auctions!
The very first auction is a brand new ACEO, and the first in my series of circus/shideshow themed illustrations! "Sword Swallower" is an ORIGINAL 2.5" x 3.5" illustration, done in archival inks and acrylic paints on bristol. She is up for auction on eBay, with a starting bid of only 99 cents! To see more detail pictures, read more info about this piece, and even make a bid, just visit the link below her picture:

The other two auctions I have recently listed are both older pieces, in need of good homes :) "Green Eyes" is a one of a kind fairy ACEO, in mixed media (fabric, assorted papers, ink, and paint)- up for auction on eBay, also with a starting bid of just 99cents. To see the listing and more details, check out the link belwo the picture:
"Green Eyes" original fairy collage ACEO
And, last but not least, I have also put up one of my smaller original acrylic paintings- "Red Wine Fairy" is 5" x 7", and she is adorable, with her big blue eyes and pale skin. She is listed for auction, starting at $15...To see her auction listing, follow the link below her picture:
"Red Wine Fairy" original big eye fairy painting
Of course, there are a few art auctions ending soon (within the next day or so) and most of them have not reached over $5 yet! To see all my auctions on one page, just click here!
ALso new- the good folks over at MyTagArt have put up some brand new tubes for all of you who like to make digital signature tags and the like...TO see all my new PSP tubes, they are here (newest additions are at the bottom of the page).
So, I know I haven't been very "talkative" online lately- I have been working nonstop! I am currently balancing a few projects (as usual!), including my latest jester, this circus ACEO series, getting things sorted, edited, and formatted for my zombie compilation book, and other odds and ends. And with that said, I'd better get back to my desk and get some colors filled in!

WAAAZZUUPP!!
Hee hee, can you tell I am psyched to have time to make art? I thought I'd better take a quick break and get this blog posted, as it's been awhile...
I do have a few new auctions (two new ACEO originals, and an older Raven painting), plus some nifty new Zazzle products to share!
New aCEOs...These are both listed for auction on eBay, both with starting bids of just 99 cents...:) "Two Ralphie Birds" is a 2.5" x 3.5" ORIGINAL ACEO; Ralphie is one of my very favorite characters, cooked up in a sketch book session! I've generously squeezed TWO little Ralphies into this piece, for your smiling pleasure. More info and details at the listing- the link is below the picture:
"Two Ralphie Birds" original cartoon ACEO
The other new ACEO I've just listed is titled "Reading Lamp"- a deep sea mermaid gets a little help from her angelr fish friends as she tries to read her treasure map in the darkness of the ocean...I really like how the colors came out in this piece; for awhile, it looked rather dodgy, but I just kept painting on it until I was satisfied :) Again, more details and info are at the listing- visit the link below the picture for more:
"Reading Lamp" original mermaid fantasy ACEO
Also newly listed (for auction) is my original "Raven 12" bird painting- this is an 8" x 10" acrylic piece, on canvas board...I've started the bidding at a low $20- the regular listing price for this piece is $55, so this could potentially be a very good deal for some lucky raven lover...;) To see more info and details about this painting, just check out the link below the picture:
"Raven 12" original bird painting
Of course, there are some other art auctions up that are ending soon (anywhere from 1-3 days)...To see ALL my auctions on one page, just click here!
So...I've been messing around with my endless pictures while I have my coffee in the mornings, and have created a bunch of new, fun Zazzle products! Something of interest (to me, anyway) are these photo sculpture things...Currently, there are two different ones, made from my "Sunny" mermaid illustration, as well as from my "Inkling 1- Falling Sky" painting. The coolest thing about these photo sculptures is that you can have them made in a variety of ways- magnets, ornaments, pins, wall hangings, or stand alone sculptures. You can see them individually by clicking the links below their pictures:

There are also a few new T shirt designs, a new dragon coffee mug, and stickers...woo hoo! www.zazzle.com/darklingemily
I feel like I haven't been very entertaining for all of you lately, and I must apologize for that (founded in reality or not)...I am still getting used to my new, very busy schedule. In time, I hope to be "back to normal"...whatever that is. Normal for me. Which is a stretch. ;) But for now, I'm going to go make some more art, while I have the time!!

Oh...May is over! Crap!
I feel like I should have been far more productive this month. I'm blaming it on the fact that I've spent a lot of time tending to the gardens. I didn't even update my website galleries this month! I suck! Well, I suppose it can wait til June, and there will just be a lot more new art up there!
So, I do have some eBay auctions going on now- most of them are ACEO originals, though there is also one original dragon painting (7" x 5"). Each ACEO has a starting bid of just 99 cents, and some of them only have a day or two left! Here is the full list- links to the individual auctions are below the corresponding pictures, or you can view them all on one page here!
"Inchworm" original fairy + worm fantasy ACEO art
"Clowning Around" original mermaid + clownfish ACEO fantasy illustration
"The Note" original mermaid + seahorse ACEO fantasy art
"Along the Watchtower" original 7" x 5" dragon painting - starting bid of $15.
My motivation to get new art out of my sketchbook and onto canvas/paper has been somewhat low lately- not that I don't LOVE to create, but I do feel some interesting changes coming on, as far as my art goes. I've been in more of a pen and ink mood, and cartoons, too, and have been puttering around with some new Ralphie stuff, and some other cartoon creatures :) Very few final projects though. :\ However, I do have one brand new painting up in my darklingemily etsy shop! This piece is titled "Lurking Dawn" (thanks to Rebecca Brown Martinez for the title- you can check out her etsy shop here- TCsoApCo!)- a dragon perched on some strange plant, in my silhouette style...It is an original 11" x 14" acrylic painting, on gallery wrapped canvas (sides are 3/4" and painted black)- so it is ready to hang! To see more, and perhaps even adopt this painting into your home, please visit the link below the picture:

One last important tidbit of info before I go...This Saturday, June 5, I will be out IN PERSON selling my art and other assorted goodies (prints, bookmarks, ACEOs, etc)...I will be at the Spring Craft Fair, located at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Hadley, MA. The fair runs from 8am to 2pm, and there will be vendors of all sorts, a plant sale/swap, pancakes, and a giant tag sale! I will be outside, at a small table loaded with my paintings and such, so come on by and see me! And bring all your filthy rich friends who love art LOL!! Once more- Craft Fair this Saturday, located at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Hadley, MA, from 8 am - 2pm, rain or shine! If you want more info, just email me!
Okay, I am off to get some more sketching done :)

Oh, man...
Sorry about being lame and not posting anything for a week! :\ I've been gardening my butt off, getting ready for a craft fair, moving furniture around...Tons of random chores and errands! Ugh, just thinking about it all is making me tired! But...I did get to mall with my girlfriends, and go out for drinks this weekend, so...I did get some relaxation in :)
Unfortunately, I don't have anything brand new as far as art goes, but I do have some eBay auctions running right now that I had not posted previously...So I will update you all on those right now!
The first is an original ACEO illustration- "Over the Rainbow" is one of my new favorites! A pretty (and tasteful) nude, sitting on a fluffy cloud, under a rainbow. On her parisol perches a little bird. She is an original ACEO (Art Cards, Editions, and Originals- 25" x 3.5") up for auction on eBay...She only has a few days left, and a few bids on her (but she is still under $5)...To see more info and details, please follow the link below the picture:
"Over the Rainbow" original nude ACEO
Another ACEO for auction on eBay- "Green Smile"- this ACEO is an open edition print of my original illustration...A sultry pin up, in green and black striped lingerie, holds a rather tantalizing purple hooka. She is also wearing a top hat, one of my favorite frivolous fashion accessories :) This print starts at a 99 cent bid...To see more, please follow the link below her picture:
"Green Smile" ACEO print auction
One last auction :) I've listed the original painting of "Raven 15" for auction- this piece was previously living in my darklingemily etsy shop, but I thought I'd try it in a different venue...This is indeed part of my ravens series, featuring simple black birds on colorful, abstract backgrounds. "Raven 15' is painted in acrylics on a 7" x 5" sheet of artist canvas, and is listed at a starting bid of just $9.99! To see the auction, and perhaps even bid, just visit the link below the picture:

Also, this is just a little reminder- my "Daydreaming Mermaid" original ACEO illustration ends tomorrow; she is still at a very reasonable price if you would like to make a bid ;) ;) To view her auction, just click the link below her picture:

Even though I do not have any new art, I do have some new Zazzle products :) There are some new posters/prints available, as well as some nifty new zombie t shirts! To see everything I've got, please click the link below the picture:
New t shirts, posters, and more on Zazzle!
I swear, later this week I will have brand new art to show off, and more information regarding the craft fair I will be attending- offering lots of art (originals, prints, ACEOs, etc) and other goodies like bookmarks and free smiles, of course! But, for now, I am going to watch a movie about Jeffery Dahmer, eat some M+Ms, and futz around the studio.

It's sort of hard to draw when you have gardener's hands...
After about 40 applications of lotion, they are now moving like hands, and not like metal clamps covered in paper...Sometimes I forget to put lotion on, like last night, and I just start drawing. Not the best idea; I messed up two small pieces so terribly, I just put them right in the recycling basket. There was no fixing them. What a travesty. I wonder if it had anything to do with the dry-skin-sliding-across-paper felling- it is a lot like nails on a chalkboard to me. Ugh :) Of course, I do have some art worthy of sharing today! Another new dragon painting, a fairy ACEO, and another older illustration up for auction.
So, this newest dragon painting is titled "Nightengale"- a pale gray dragon, with purple spots, watches twilight descend from a strange, dark flowerstalk...I don't really know what it is about this piece that immediately makes me smell flowers, but it does. The original painting, measuring 4" x 6" on a canvas panel, is available for purchase in my darklingemily etsy shop...To see more detail pictures, and read a bit more about this piece, please visit the link below the picture:
"Nightengale" original dragon fantasy painting
So, after messing up a few ACEOs last night, I did manage to pull one off that is not horribly embarrassing :) This new art card is titled "Flower Throne"- a little fairy has found the best seat in the house (or in the garden, rather)! She is an original illustration, in ACEO format (2.5" x 3.5")- created in a mix of acrylic paint, archival inks, and colored pencils..."Flower Throne" is up for auction on eBay, starting at just 99 cents (with free shipping). Please visit the auction listing for more details- the link is below the picture, of course!
"Flower Throne" original fairy ACEO
There are a whole bunch of older original works up for auction as well, as I have mentioned in the previous blog post :) The latest of which is "Rogue Princess"- one of my favorites, because it's got a sexy warrior princess, two dragons, AND a castle squeezed in! I also love how the colors of the sky turned out :) This is an original 5" x 7" illustration, up for auction on eBay starting at just $5. To get more info on this piece, and perhaps even make a bid, please follow the link below her picture:

If you are interested in taking a look at all my current art auctions on eBay, you can see them all on one page here!
As far as art to come in the near future, I am working on the latest Zodiac Dragon- Gemini! If you'd like to follow along with the work in progress pictures, you can view them in my facebook album here...I am also getting a few new fantasy ACEOs illustrated, and a mermaid piece, among other things. :) So, I will be off to work some more...Have a great night all!

Happy Weekend!
It's rather late in my neck of the woods...Well, it's late for me to be tinkering around online and posting stuff, but I'm not all that tired. Also, this post is partially an excuse to put off starting another project. Not that I don't *want* to create, I almost ALWAYS want to, but I am quite sure the focus just isn't there. Lately I have been trying to be mindful of not putting paint to canvas if I know I won;t give it the attention it deserves, in the hopes that I will begin to make more quality art and less mindless crap. Though I suppose that is a point of opinion and taste.
All rambling aside, I have two new pieces to share! A new installation to my "Inkling" dragon series, and a brand new jester pin up! Also, a handful of new ACEO auctions on eBay ;)
"Inkling 4- Summer Night" is the new dragon piece- A spotted dragon and a fairy in a little red dress are up late in the summer night...fireflies surround them as they chat in the mysterious darkness that is summer! This piece is an original 5" x 7" acrylic painting, with a slightly abstract feel to it. It is listed for sale in my darklingemily etsy shop. To see more, please visit the link below the picture:
"Inkling 4- Summer Night" original dragon + fairy fantasy art
Also brand new- my latest pin up jester! This sultry sweetheart is titled "Sucker"- lollipop in hand, and a brightly colored outfit, with flirty brunette curls! I am smitten with her! "Sucker" is available as limited edition art prints (8" x 10") through my darklingemily etsy shop- $16 with free shipping! To seem more pictures, read about the prints, and perhaps even get one for yourself or a buddy, please follow the link below her picture:

Lastly, I have listed a few new ACEO art cards for auction on eBay- each ACEO starts at just 99 cents, with free shipping! To see all my current art listings for auction on eBay, just click here! Now, I am off to do god knows what...Have a good night/weekend!

Just a quick post tonight, I am totally pooped out from gardening all day...and thinking about how much more I still have to do...I could seriously fall asleep right here at my keyboard.
So...let me get right to it, then :) I've got my brand new "Monarch" dragon to share- he's also available in t shirt form from my zazzle shop! And a newly listed collage ACEO- she's an older piece, but the first time I have ever listed her :) Also, a link to a tutorial for creating tags and such from my friend Jenny via MyTagArt :)
Very first- "Monarch" is my latest dragon, and he's got two butterfly buddies with him! This is an original 10" x 8" painting, done in acrylics on a canvas panel. You can read/see more details, and perhaps even invite him into your home at the link below the picture:

"Monarch" is also available on long and short sleeve t shirts and hoodies in my Zazzle shop- you can choose your own shirt style, size, and color- there are also kids and infant sizes! Check it out at the link below the picture:
"Monarch" dragon custom shirts

Was hoping I would get a second wind by now, but it's just not happening. But, one last thing before I go to bed- my friend Jenny has written a digital tag tutorial...She even made me my very own tag, featuring my Hot Cocoa jester! I just love it, thank you Jenny! There is a lot of useful info there, so please check out her blog at the link below:

Hello All!
Well, I have kind of a lot of stuff to share today, so please bare with me here :)...New Zazzle products, an ACEO auction, a brand new jester, and a new raven too!
I know I am not the best about sharing the latest from my Zazzle shop, but I have a few new things up there now, so I thought I'd post those! My "Ladybug Dragons" are now available as greeting cards; they are blank on the inside, but you can add your own greeting in any available font that Zazzle has before you order them! Here is the link to the greeting cards:

I also have some new dragon, zombie, jester, and raven posters up there as well- you can choose your own size, paper, and even a frame if you wish! The link to all my available posters is here:

How about some brand new art? Yay! I will begin with what's new in my darklingemily etsy shop! Number one- a brand new jester pin up! She is titled "Cherry's Jubilee" (many thanks to my friend Megan for coming up with the title!)- Cherry is looking pretty shocked and happy about these oversized cherries right next to her...She is available as a limited edition 8" x 10" art print (there are only 25 in the edition) at the link below:

I've also snuck in some time to get a new raven painted :) I just love these birds, and I could seriously paint them forever; if it weren't for my vast interest in other areas, I probably would! This is "Raven 17"- A curious raven looks skyward...and what are these glowing bits of green everywhere? "Raven 17" is an original acrylic painting, 5" x 7" on a sheet of canvas. He is available at the link below the picture:

See, I told you there was a lot of updates! And I've still got one more :D This last piece tonight is an ACEO, listed for auction on eBay, starting at just 99 cents!
"Cemetery Fairy" is an older mixed media ACEO (2.5" x 3.5", feathers, lace, papers, fabric...the works!). She is slightly gothic, as she lives in a cemetery...but she's not mean or evil. Just watching over souls. She is up for auction on eBay- you can read her story, see detail pictures, and make a bid at the link below her picture:

Okay, I'm off to get some work done (boring computer stuff, but I need to do it) so...peace!

Oh, weekend, I love you...
In this post, there is a new Cartoon Aquarium octopus, some older ACEO fantasy collage pieces, and a very exciting bit of news for those of you who are into digital tags :)
Firstly, I would like to introduce to you the newest member of my Cartoon Aquarium- "Octavio" is an original 11" x 14" x 1" acrylic painting on gallery wrapped canvas; he fades from orange to yellow starting at his head. :) To read the little blurb I wrote for him, and perhaps even adopt him into your home, please visit the link to the listing in my zombietoes etsy shop below his picture:

Next, I have been doing some spring cleaning, and have dug up some older ACEOs in my collage style- so, I have listed a few of them for auction, starting at just 99 cents each, with free shipping! To see the individual auction listings, just follow the links below the pictures:

"Nightshade" dark fairy and peacock mixed media ACEO
There are a bunch more pieces up for auction this weekend; to see all of them in one place, just click here!
And, very cool news on the digital tag front- I have just begun licensing some of my images through MyTagArt! The official release date for my images/tubes is April 2- there will be Cartoon Aquarium images/tubes, some dragons and assorted fantasy images, and even some jesters here and there! I am not a digital tagger myself, as I prefer to paint (wink wink) but I must say, the folks at MyTagArt are super wonderful, warm, and helpful people, and I am very pleased and honored to have my art on their site.
So, that is all for this evening- I am getting psyched up for Wrestlemania tomorrow, and am looking forward to watching the Hall of Fame Induction here in a few minutes, so...I'm out. Enjoy your weekend!

I've been painting all day!
I've got two new paintings- a brand new addition to my Inkling series, and a new dragon ACEO as well!
Number three in my Inkling dragon series is "Pedestal"- an original 7" x 5" fantasy painting featuring a little yellow/orange dragon on a drippy ink pedestal. He is available for purchase through my darklingemily etsy shop- to see detail pictures and read his blurb, please follow the link below the picture:

Also, a new dragon ACEO! "Glint" is an original painting (3.5" x 2.5") of a glow bug dragon creature in a strange landscape...I really like the contrast in this piece. He is up for auction on eBay, starting at just $5 (with free shipping of course)! To see the listing details and perhaps make a bid, please follow the link below the picture:

That's it for tonight- I have been so busy, and it is looking like the art forecast for this weekend will be even busier! So, I am sorry, no rambling tonight, I must get to sketching some new pieces out! Happy Friday all!
